レポート概要 |
 |
The first public demonstrations of commercial hydraulic hybrid systems for on-road vehicles began in 2004, though work had been going on for at least a decade before then. A number of pilot programs and tests have since been carried out, all of which have concluded that the technology offers significant benefits at reasonable cost and is much more suitable than electric hybrid systems for some applications.
The major players are starting to get larger orders, rather than the single-digit requirements for testing, and manufacturers are making plans for small volume manufacturing. Over the next few years, there may be some industry consolidation as Tier One suppliers buy in the expertise they need to service their OEM clients if the market does take off. Navigant Research forecasts that annual sales of hydraulic hybrid vehicles will grow to 6,496 vehicles by 2025 under a conservative scenario and 64,130 under an aggressive scenario.
This Navigant Research report analyzes the current very limited market for hydraulic hybrids and includes a brief history and projections of how quickly the market could grow. Global market forecasts for annual sales of hydraulic hybrid vehicles, segmented by scenario (conservative and aggressive), extend through 2025. The report also provides in-depth profiles of key players and assessments of market segments, regional trends, and technology issues.
